A Letter from the Creative Who Walked Away from the Corporate Path

You’re not bad with money—you’re just healing from a world that told you safety only comes from sacrifice.

Dear Fellow Adventurer,

Can I be honest with you?

There was a time when even thinking about money made me feel like I was failing at life.

I had done everything “right.”
The degree. The job. The steady paycheck.

But inside?

I was tired.
I was unfulfilled.
And honestly—I was scared to let any of it go, even though it never really felt like mine to begin with.

Money didn’t feel like safety.
It felt like pressure. A measuring stick. A performance.

Even when I had enough, I still felt like I was drowning.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in survival mode…
If money has ever made your chest tighten, your stomach knot, or your inner child flinch—

You’re not alone. And you’re not broken.

Survival Mode Isn’t Just a Phase.

It’s a Pattern Our Bodies Memorize.

What I didn’t realize back then is that my “money mindset” didn’t need another affirmation.

It needed a healing.

And healing didn’t come from budgeting apps or hustle culture.

It came from learning that:

  • I didn’t need to earn softness.

  • I didn’t need to prove I was worthy of rest.

  • I didn’t need to keep sacrificing just to feel secure.

I had never learned that money could be neutral.
That I could receive without guilt.
That I didn’t have to hustle myself into the ground to feel like I mattered.

I Had to Grieve Before I Could Grow.

Leaving my corporate job wasn’t just about becoming a content creator.

It was about releasing the version of me who survived through:

  • Over-giving

  • Over-working

  • Over-performing

That girl? She was doing her best.
And she deserved softness.

So I gave myself permission to:

💫 Make tea instead of sprinting to inbox zero
💫 Buy the cute coat before it was on clearance
💫 Sit with money instead of immediately sending it away

And you know what?

I finally started to feel safe.

Not because my finances were perfect—
But because I stopped punishing myself to feel “worthy” of abundance.

This Isn’t Just About Money.

It’s About Permission.

Permission to stop shrinking.

Permission to stop proving.

Permission to want more—not just to survive, but to enjoy.

✨ You’re allowed to build a life based on values, not just velocity.
✨ You’re allowed to let money support you without shame.
✨ You’re allowed to feel safe receiving.

A Cozy Ritual to Try

Next time money comes in—no matter the amount—don’t rush it away.

Instead:

  1. Pause.

  2. Breathe.

  3. Say thank you.

  4. Ask: How do I want this to feel in my life?

Let that feeling guide what you do next.

You’re Not Bad with Money.

You’re Just in a New Chapter.

This is the chapter where:

🌿 Safety is self-written
🌿 Your nervous system gets to exhale
🌿 Creativity and sustainability co-exist

And I’m so proud of you for being here.
For reading this.
For even thinking about healing your relationship with money.

You’re not behind.
You’re not too much.
You’re not too late.

You’re becoming.

Love,

Wengie ♥️
