Meet the

Guild Master.

Hello Adventurer,

I’m Wengel (aka Wengie)—voice actor, storyteller, anime lover, and your cozy creative guide on this big ol’ journey of turning ideas into magic. I was born to two amazing Ethiopian parents who ran a family restaurant (yes, I did my time waiting tables—and sneaking bites of sambusa when no one was looking). I grew up surrounded by flavor, family, and so many stories.

My love for storytelling started early, thanks to my mom, who could make any tale hilarious and captivating. From there, I bounced through every form of storytelling I could get my hands on—books, films, music, games—until anime came crashing into my life at 13 and completely rewired my brain (in the best way possible). That was the moment I knew I wanted to create things that felt like that.

So I studied film in college—everything from international cinema to the nuts and bolts of editing—and eventually became a professional video editor in the corporate world. But something was missing. I realized I didn’t just want to edit stories—I wanted to make, teach, share, and inspire others to find the magic in theirs.

That’s how this cozy adventurers guild was born. I noticed that while we talk a lot about storytelling as “content,” we rarely talk about how storytelling is life-changing—how the stories we consume and the ones we tell ourselves shape how we see the world. I wanted to build a space where that kind of growth could happen. Where stories aren’t just entertainment—they’re transformation.

So now I help dreamy, creative souls (like you!) learn how to craft worlds, characters, and content that feel meaningful and magical. Whether you're writing, worldbuilding, or just trying to make sense of your own journey, this space is for you.

When I’m not rambling about story arcs or screaming about anime plot twists, I’m probably cuddled up with my giant Bernese Mountain Dog, Marscapone (yes, like the cheese), watching Studio Ghibli movies and dreaming up magical girl aesthetics.

Thanks for being here. And, I will see you in our next adventure!

Love,

Wengel
